100 Posts In The Making

August 27th, 2006 · 7 Comments

You may not have realised it, but I certainly have. Yup believe it or not Blogtrepreneur has managed to rack in 100 posts since I first opened the doors back in February of this year. I feel I’ve come a long way: I’ve learned a lot about myself as a person and as an entity, I’ve learned a lot about other people, their feelings and their attitudes and I’ve learned a lot about the internet, technology and the constant evolution that’s taking place around us whether you know about it or not.

One of the main reasons why I started blogging in the first place was to earn some cash. There that’s the truth! But over this time my motives have changed, and my outlook on money itself has altered in a positive way. Im no longer obsessed with money and I am now beginning to start e-businesses left, right and centre.

Along the way I’ve built up my internet recognition to the point where 100 or so people who I’ve never met actually know who I am and what I love - entrepreneurship! The bonds I’ve made with others who share this same passion and drive for “success” are unbeliavable and I never thought I’d be able to build such a community around me. To those who have helped me come this far - thankyou, and to those who may help me in the future develop my main interest - I can’t wait to work with you!

So what’s next for The Blogtrepreneur? I’m on the net for good and I don’t think I can go back to the £4.50 per hour Saturday job (and don’t get me started on golf caddying!). Hopefully I can get GolfChum off the ground along with my forum. Diversity is the key and I’ll continue to expand my interests through blogging and meeting with other people.

Never stand still …looking for change and breaking away from the norm is a courageous trait and one which I am happy to possess and share with you here at Blogtrepreneur. Thanks for staying tuned and let’s take Blogtrepreneur to the next level!

If you thought this post was good, you haven't seen anything! Why not:

That’s what I like to hear, bro! With an attitude like that, you’re going places! Cheers!

Congratulations, Adnan! You’ll be rockin’ the next 100 in no time.

“Never stand still” is such a great and motivational motto. I think the best business people out there use it — whether is succeeding in something, or even failing: but failing, forward.

Thanks David and Andrew for the kind words!
Yeah I think at the start of my online career my greatest error was standing still. When you’re standing still you’re not doing anything and not learning and not moving forward. Its just a knock-on effect.
My advice is to keep working and keep innovating with new ideas and strategies. And it will hopefully be these new strategies which will help me reach new heights on the net!

WOW- That is a milestone. I just started my blogging journey and I completely understand your plight- trying to make money and write about what interests you.Its almost like you can’t plan for blog riches. It is something that happens sometimes to good blogs. Good luck! I will keep reading.

Thanks Kimberly I appreciate your support. Good luck with your blog - it seems very good for one thats just started.

The key to new blogs is content. So long as you try and post daily or nearly daily without getting burnt out then you’ll be doing well. That’s one thing I regret in my Blogger days when I posted once a week. Search engines love regularly updated blogs.

Great post and great blog! I came here by way of blogging blog.

I started blogging on blogger around the same time you did and I just switched over to my own domain name finally after almost 90 posts. It’s awesome.

Oh, and I really like your wordpress theme. Makes great use of the screen real estate.

Thanks for visiting Ray - and can I just say that I love your template as well - its very…fresh!

I know - nothing beats owning your own blog and writing on Wordpress. Its so customisable I definitely couldn’t go back to using Blogger as a CMS.

And thanks. My friend actually helped me out with the theme and with the programming behind it. Im constantly moving stuff around though to improve navigation for readers and to enhance the experience of reading my blog.

Thanks for commenting and I hope I see you a lot more around Blogtrepreneur!
