Going away for the weekend - Have a bit of “Me Time”!

Tomorrow I leave to go up North to Manchester in the UK. We’re going because its my Dad’s brother’s wedding so hopefully it should be a good opportunity to meet close family and friends from across the country and from abroad.

Having just started school and finished the first week, I feel its also important to take a bit of time out this weekend to recover from a no doubt very busy week. After the relaxing Christmas holidays, going straight back into workmode wouldn’t have been very good for us physically and mentally, so I think its of the utmost that we take a little time out so we can adjust to the new level of work and determination needed this season.

So whatever plans you might have on starting that new site, revamping an existing one or creating bucket loads of content for your blog then postpone them and have a bit of “me time”!

Because Im only going away for 2 days, there won’t be anyone to moderate any comments made over the period so sorry in advance for any inconvenience this may cause. The same applies to emails sent through the Contact Form and I won’t be able to answer those until Monday.

Ooh oops i just wrote a big comment and when i submitted it it came up blank! Please please tell me it worked properly? I dont want to sumit it again if i dont have to! Either the blog glitced out or i am just stuipd, the second option doesnt surprise me lol.

  3. I often try and have ‘me time’, but as long as I’m near the computer I’m constantly updating and responding to emails and doing bits and bobs. I really need to find a way to disconnect my internet, or just get away from the house in order to have my me time.

  1. [...] Once the FTC theme was widgetized, I took the opportunity to make some long-overdue changes. First, I added a Best of Flee The Cube section, front and center. It is purely subjective, so if I have other posts you would like to see on there, let me know. I also added an easy way to sign up for and advertise using TLA, and I’d like to thank Blogtrepreneur for the idea, since I first saw this on his blog. And lastly, I’ve added links to all the sites on Kokua Web, in order to spread around the google juice. • • • [...]
