I mean, even John Chow doesn't use adsense anymore even though he used to earn by the thousands per month. What gives? Adsense just doesn't pay anymore. I used to get to the $100 mark in 2 months, now I'm lucky if I can break it in 3. So yes, the money just stays with Google ... To really get your hands dirty, I would suggest that you get a domain, hosting and download wordpress and get playing around with positioning and blending of the ads. But good luck with that. anyway.
