Ever since I posted my review of PepperJam Affiliate Network, I’ve heard a lot of great things about Kris Jones’ company. Not only that, but I’ve experienced a lot of this “greatness” through an amazing affiliate manager (thanks Mandy!), after having been initially in contact with Kris’ wife Robyn.
So when the PepperJam team wanted to sponsor another of my posts, I was intrigued as to what they would like me to cover.
PepperJam Ads Affiliate Widget
I touched on PepperJam Network’s new widget in the review, but spent more time on the PPC side of things. In short, this widget on the surface seems like an equivalent to Adsense, however if you do a bit more digging, you’ll find out that instead of being paid “per click” with Google, you still get paid affiliate commissions depending on what product you want to promote.
Whilst this may sound a little complicated to the inexperienced monetizer, it actually is very easy to setup and integrate this widget into your blog or website so it can start earning you more money. In order to simplify things even further - and through the clever promotional use of multimedia - Kris and the team have created a video showing you exactly how to use and customise the PepperJam Ads Widget:
(RSS Readers may have to click here to view the video).
The thing that really separates this widget from all the others out there, is that you get to choose the adverts that will appear to your readers. As a result, you can introduce more defined targeting and this will hopefully generate even more affiliate commissions and revenues for you.
In order to really show you how easy it is to setup such an affiliate widget, I decided to make one of my own. Unfortunately due to problems embedding Javascript into blog posts in Wordpress, I’ve had to take a screenshot - hopefully that will still suffice for you guys!

It’s As Simple As That!
If you havn’t already signed up as an affiliate, I would really recommend that you head on over to the site, create an account and start playing around with the campaigns. From what I’ve learnt on various blogs and forums, the only way you can really start to make good money from affiliate marketing is through constant trial and error - so let’s get cracking!

Adnan, you can grab the AdSense delux plugin and use it to easily embed any Javascript into a WordPress post.
This sounds interesting to me Adnan. Have you actually used them yourself? Does it actually generate any income for you?
I’m intrigued by the idea but am not convinced it will be worthwhile. It’s a service I would be willing to try though.
@ Jon: I completely forgot about that, I do actually have the Adsense Deluxe plugin installed as well! Check the post now
@ Ben: I havn’t had a chance yet to add the code to one of my high SE ranking sites, but I will do over the weekend and am excited as to how it will convert. The PepperJam Ads are still relatively new, but I would jump on them, and experiment - try split testing them against normal affiliate banners, Adsense or YSM.
yeah thats what i want to know about is if people are earning well with them or? I think it looks like a great system though…
So how do these Pepperjam text ads perform in comparison to their Google AdSense counterparts? Which produces more returns in terms of their CTR, payout per click, and payout per impression?
