Sell Products Online with Click2Sell

We were contacted to take a look at a new site called Click2Sell that bills itself as a direct competitor to sites like Clickbank and Paydotcom. Clickbank has enjoyed such a stranglehold on marketers for so long that I must admit, I was skeptical.
They may bill themselves as a direct competitor with Clickbank but at first glance it appears to be no competition. Feature for feature they compare very strongly to Clickbank and should enjoy a significant amount of success if they can execute well.
I signed up for their service tonight and spent a few hours checking out the site and what they have to offer. I will be honest, I like what I see for the most part with a very few exceptions. Click2Sell has improved on Clickbank in many ways but has a few negative points that I don’t like.
Let’s take a look at some of the highlights of the site and what it offers each set of users. The feature list I have below is only a small sample of what they offer so make sure you check it out for yourself.
Merchant Features
Free Account - Unlike others, Click2Sell offers you a FREE account with an unlimited number of products to sell or promote, no hidden costs.
Advanced Reporting - If you use Clickbank then you will understand how much of an upgrade these tools are for your campaign. A few benefits are real time sales reports, product conversion rates, affiliate’s performance, best converting keywords, different traffic sources, refunds, profit and more.
Creatives - Banners, emails, text ads, etc. You can make your affiliate program more efficient by providing your affiliates with promotional materials that they can use on their websites.
Fast Payments - Whether you have Paypal, Moneybookers, Authorize.net, Worldpay or Google Checkout account - all payments from your customers will be deposited straight to your chosen merchant account. No more long weeks of waiting for your payments!
Low Fees - Click2Sell charges a flat fee for your transactions. They range from 1 to 3 dollars depending on the purchase price. This is one of the lowest fee structures available.
Affiliate Payments - You may see this is a positive or negative but unlike Clickbank, vendors pay their own affiliate commissions. They do offer a simple to use interface to make this easy, but it is an extra step that ClickBank doesn’t require.
These are just a few of the features available to merchants in the Click2Sell system. It’s hard to appreciate just how well this matches up to the competition unless you use the others. As I said before, this is only a partial list, you can check out the complete list here.
Affiliate Features

Payment - You will receive your earned commissions within 3 weeks after the end of a month. No more waiting for long and overly complex payment procedures. The only downside I see is that vendors pay the commissions so you don’t have the comfort level of a middleman to pay you your commissions.
Merchant Rating System - Each Click2Sell merchant is rated after it pays all its affiliates, so you can easily find the honest and reliable merchants. If a vendor doesn’t fulfill an obligation then they will quickly be removed from the system.
Reporting - Click2Sell affiliate members are armed with powerful statistics and reporting tools so they can see which products generate the most money for them, compare conversion rates and more.
6 Month Cookie - If your referred visitor returns within 180 days and makes a purchase you will receive your earned commission.
Commissions - You can earn commissions as high as 95 % of a product’s price just for your referrals.
Variety - Currently Click2Sell have 507 different products listed in their marketplace. This is growing daily as this site builds momentum and gains acceptance.
If you want to see the full list of features then you can find them here.
Customer Service
As with any internet company or website, creating a line of contact between the customer and the site administrators is very important in order to encourage a trustful relationship. You can contact Click2Sell via a simple to use contact form any time you have a question. Furthermore they have a Help Desk for any pressing issues.
Any good site offers a FAQ section to answer those questions that may linger, so Click2Sell checks another box.
Referral Program
Residual Income - Get 30% from every referred member’s fees paid to Click2Sell. You will be paid as long as your referred members – whether merchants or affiliates - stay active and sell products!
Easy Set Up - Simple to sign up and you can be referring users to the Marketplace in minutes.
Advanced Reporting - Click2Sell offers you a unique tracking system to collect all the information about your referred users, the number of transactions they made and, of course, your earned commissions!
You can read more about the referral program here.
Conclusion
I always want to make sure that I present both sides of any product or site review and I tried pretty hard to find any flaws with this site so that it didn’t come off sounding like a sales page. I have to be honest though, I don’t really see much downside to Click2Sell.
I will say that I am not a fan of the vendor paying the affiliate payments. I like having a “middleman” to pay the commission as I simply see a lot of potential for abuse in the process. If the marketer can’t pay his rent this month, then I could see them holding back on affiliate payments.
Yes, the Vendor rating will remove them from the system, but they still owe you money and you aren’t going to get paid. This isn’t much different than many of the other services like e-junkie or PayDotCom so it isn’t uncommon but I still don’t like it.
An even more pertinent question is whether or not Click2Sell can succeed with such a low fee structure. They surely must have fairly significant overhead costs involved with marketing, hosting, programming and other assorted costs involved and their fee structure seems almost ridiculously low compared to Clickbank.
Assuming they can continue to grow, add products to their site and stay solvent then I would say they are the best alternative available to marketers today. I see just over 500 products in the marketplace today and this is growing daily. If you are in need of a service like this then I think they are worth checking out.

Well I’m sold - there are some valid points against the site that you’ve mentioned, but nothing so major that it couldn’t be worked out. I’ll definitely be taking a look later tonight.
Looks like a great deal to me. I’ll have to check it out this weekend!
Click2sell could be better than Clickbank. Are there any internet marketers who have tried using Click2sell?

o.0 adds to favourites. gonna spent more time back here later. sounds like a good path to start rolling the cash in.
Hi,
I’ll try it right a way - But the payment system worries me.
But as long as publishers don’t have bad experience in it, I think there’s no problem whatsoever, then.
Thanks for the review
This looks very solid to me in my humble opinion. Has anyone given it a go yet? Will try to look around for more comment on this
I’ve been using Click2Sell and that’s what I can say: the more I use it, the more I love it.
For example, that’s what I did very recently: I decided to to see how my affiliates performed (I have quite a number of them). So I just logged into click2sell member area and clicked to see affiliates’ report. I saw a very detailed report where each of my affilaite was presented by numbers of referred visitors and sales, their made conversions rate, refunds (ha, there were only two refunds at all :), total earnings they made me. Actually, I could check their performance in daily report, sometimes it’s really interesting to see trends how my affiliates succeed.
Well, briefly speaking, I can totally know how my affiliates perform. If there would be any problem, I can easily drop them a message asking if there is any help needed.
Product adding is very easy.
Affiliate payments are super easy. I don’t mind to make a few clicks each month. Ok, I understand why affiliates would be scary of merchants paying them (and thus no middleman available), but in my opinion, it encourages merchants to work more closely with their affiliates. You know, when I was in clickbank, I literally just dropped my products and didn’t care much about affiliates (clickbank paid them for me). In click2sell I got much closer relationships with my affiliates and it helped to create better income for both of us.
What else to say. Their service was never down as long as I have used them. Their tracking seems to be solid, I haven’t found any discrepancy there so far.
