Amazing New Water-Powered Jet Pack
Posted on 01. Feb, 2009 by Adam in Design
I thought this was a super innovative idea. It’s a jetpack, but it uses water to propel you in the air. You are tethered, but it looks like you still get some good distance, and you just drop into the water if something goes wrong.
Sign me up for one of these as it would surely be fun on the lake!

Wow that is really cool and is probably so much fun. What is it hooked up to?

@Clarky: Yes, I am sure we will see something like this on a lake nearby soon!
@Classifieds: It looks like it is hooked up to some device that pulls the water in from the lake.
I am not sure if you can purchase these yet though but it would sure be a great side biz for a summer lake venture. Charge per ride like they do for para-sailing!

This is interesting. I especially like the fact it uses recycled water … now if you had a solar-powered pump driving the wwater it would be 100% carbon neutral … a heck of a lot better than 2-stroke JetSkis that polluie like crazy. This is kewl.

Hehe, great invention :-)… I like it very much. And although it looks like it’s easy to control it, i am sure that is pretty hard part of the fun.

That would be fun. Any chance that it will be produced and available to the general public?
