Meet The Team

Founders - Matthew & Adam Toren

Adam TorenMatthew and Adam Toren are brothers, serial entrepreneurs, investors, and mentors. For nearly 20 years, Matthew and Adam have provided instruction in management concepts, marketing, and finance to emerging and distressed small businesses. They currently own and operate a successful media company, which includes several online properties and print publications.

One of their specialties is improving profitability of under-performing businesses with a unique “bottom-line” approach. Through their consulting work, they also provide instruction in management concepts and finance to emerging and distressed businesses, covering all phases of operations. In short, almost all of their efforts now are designed to assist small business owners with starting, managing, and growing successful business ventures.

The Toren Brothers are also the authors of the award-winning book, Kidpreneurs: Basic Principles of Entrepreneurship for Kids aged 7 to 12 years old and founders of YoungEntrepreneur.com, one of the largest online entrepreneur communities. They also work with small and medium sized business owners from a wide variety of industries to start, run, grow, and even sell their businesses, through their consulting firm, Biz Warriors.

Matthew TorenOne thing the Torens have learned through all their entrepreneurial adventures is that good advice is priceless. That’s why they wanted to write Small Business, BIG Vision – Lessons on how to DOMINATE your market by Self-Made Entrepreneurs who did it RIGHT. It is their mission to help entrepreneurs succeed, and in the book, they fulfill that mission. Adam and Mathew have had a lot of mentors and teachers along the way, and they hope they can do for other aspiring entrepreneurs what their inspirations have done for them – provide the insight and knowledge necessary to make their entrepreneurial dreams a reality.

Contributors

Greg Nunan

Australian resident Greg Nunan purchased a single EFM Health Club gym franchise at the age of 19. Greg flourished as a young, energetic business owner, topping the franchise group's Franchisee of The Year awards in 2005, before being approached to buy into the franchise group as a whole in mid 2006 and drive the growth of the company nationally.

Greg helped to spear-head the growth of the company as the National Business Development Manager for 8 years, during which time the brand was named inside Australia's top 30 fastest growing franchises for four consecutive years from 2009-2012.

Greg exited the business as a shareholder in late 2013 and exited his business development role in 2014 to pursue online business interests that had flourished during the 2012-2014 period. Greg now devotes his time to growing his online properties, providing online marketing consulting services to Australian and New Zealand businesses and running monthly internet marketing training courses for online entrepreneurs.

Hayden Miyamoto

Hayden Miyamoto, a Canadian serial entrepreneur, leveraged early successes in e-commerce to relocate with his family to the idyllic setting of Valle de Bravo, Mexico.

In the aftermath of that move, he says, he struggled with a growing sense of restlessness. Addressing his own need for community, Miyamoto leased a local mansion (with a jaw-dropping view of the lake and nearby mountains) and turned it into a business retreat center for location-independent entrepreneurs.

Issuing open invitations to his NoHatDigital blog readers to "Come to Valle" for coaching and networking, Miyamoto launched what may be the world's only privately housed incubator for Digital Nomads. To date, he has hosted nearly 50 retreat participants and longer-term residents seeking project collaboration, teaching, and an expanded network. And the community boasts 24 successful new online startups by retreat participants.
