The worst that can happen is you have great quality content after using so much time to research and write, but no one knows about it and it’s left there to collect dust.

So how to get your blog noticed with so many blogs trying to snatch attention away from your readers?

It is often a misconception that blogging needs a lot of self-promotion to make that blog a success. While there’s some truth in it, it is a mindset that needs to be changed or you will be heading towards self-destruction.

When you blog, the objective should be offering something valuable to your audience or helping your followers to solve a particular problem. When you are able to do them well, you will automatically achieve an expert status that everyone will look up to and drive tons of quality traffic in the process.

How to <g class="gr_ gr_5 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_run_anim Grammar multiReplace" id="5" data-gr-id="5">Get</g> People to Read Your Blog

There are more than enough methods to attract attention from readers and take your site to the next level. Some of the more popular ones are offering solutions in forums, providing valuable insights on other blogs, getting interviewed by bloggers etc. What you need is something proven and effective.

In this post we will be teaching you 2 killer techniques on how to make your blog popular and get your audience keep wanting for more. They work well and are not difficult to implement if you put in some time and efforts to do it.

Killer Technique #1: Guest Blogging Strategy

This is a super-hot method right now in the online marketing world but the purpose of it seems to be shifted towards link building nowadays. Since Google algorithm penalizes those websites that did unnatural (black hat) link building over recent years, many businesses are shifting towards natural (white hat) link building and guest posting is one of them.

However if the main objective is to put your blog in front of the eyes of huge community, then you would want to gain exposure and position yourself as an expert or authoritative figure in your industry.

How to Get Your Blog Noticed by Others

<g class="gr_ gr_6 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_run_anim Punctuation multiReplace" id="6" data-gr-id="6">First</g> you need to find opportunities for guest blogging. Not finding websites randomly but look for those that are related to your niche and audience who will be interested in your materials. Here are some operators you can use to find them in Google. Just replace the keyword with the ones related to your niche.

keyword “guest post”

keyword “submit a guest post”

keyword “write for us”

keyword “become a contributor”

keyword “become an author”

For a start you may want to start with 100 sites. Not all of them will be willing to accept your guest post if it is not a totally fit or if their posting schedule has been fully booked.

Getting Ready to Pitch

After you found and shortlisted them, you will need to pitch your guest post to them. Don’t think it’s a simple feat. It’s not that straightforward. You will need to get some ideas on what kind of posts are working well and getting shared umpteen times on social media.

One of the tools that can help you with this is Buzzsumo. It’s a search tool used to track popular content based on their number of shares in social networking sites.

Once you got the sites and content ready, it’s time to pitch to the blog owner. Get yourself familiar with the blogger first by commenting on his blog posts for a couple of weeks. Share his blog posts by tweeting in Twitter with the blog owner’s @username so he will be aware that you appreciate his work.

Always personalize your email, get to know the blog owner better in their ‘About’ page. Start the email by introducing yourself and why you want to do a guest post on his site. Increase your chance of success by including links to your previous guest posts (on other blogs) so he can know the quality of your work. Pitch to the owner a couple of different ideas so he can choose the one that best fits his audience.

Make an effort to go through the existing posts on the owner’s blog to understand the format, quotes, videos, images etc so your guest post can be similar. Remember that the purpose of this guest post shouldn’t be about you. You should focus on providing valuable information and try to position yourself as a veteran in the area.

How to Get More Blog Followers from Guest Bio

Here is the most important part. You have researched and written a great content and guest posted it. Now you need the audience to acknowledge your work and recognize who you are.

The Guest Bio is where you can do the self-promotion part by providing a link to your blog, service, eBook, products etc. Depending on the subject of your guest post, you might want to lead the audience back to a product page on your site where it relates to the content.

If your main objective is to build up your fan-base or get more blog followers, then most probably you would want to direct the audience to a lead capture page. Although not 100% of the audience will start to follow your blog, this will ensure that you capture a portion of the followers and continue building relationship with them.

Imagine doing this for 10 guest posts. You will get more blog followers and readership while building your brand with this technique.

Killer Technique #2: Influencer Marketing Strategy

So what is an influencer? He or she must have the ability to influence an audience, by changing their mindset, behaviours and even impacting their purchasing decisions.

An influencer makes the most impact by utilizing the social media channels as they are always very active in it. Many of them are brand ambassadors and they recommend products and services for businesses and organizations.

So how does an influencer help to get your blog noticed and get more followers?

Well most influencers have nearly hundreds of thousands of followers in social media for example, Twitter and Instagram. They could be the source of income generator or the source of destruction. How? Their recommendations will lead to spike in business while criticisms can turn your business upside down. And yes, their opinions spread like wild fire. You definitely do not want to land on the latter.

Where to Look For Influencers

Social media are the best channels to search for influencers. Audience follow them as they are able to give great insights about a product/service/company. Since they are ‘loud’ in opinions, you will notice them if they mention about your competitor brand.

Identifying bloggers. Influential bloggers have huge following in social media. Search for them by your industry or niche. Read about what they blog about and see if it’s a fit for your own brand

.Start building a relationship with influencers and take your blog to the next level by following their materials, sharing it with your audience and linking it from your blog posts. Think of this as building a long-term business partnership, earning credibility and trust. A tool to do this and helps to reduce efforts is Buzz Stream.

After you have built a good relationship with influencers and they agree to give good opinions on your brand, you will want to make sure they are compensated. It can be offering your products/services at a discount no others are getting, promoting them to your audience or can be a financial compensation.

Always maintain a good rapport with them because not only will they be able to bring short term benefits but will also be able to help you open doors of opportunities that you never think it’s possible.

<g class="gr_ gr_17 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_run_anim Punctuation multiReplace" id="17" data-gr-id="17">Hopefully</g> the two techniques that I shared above can help you bring the level of your blog to the next level. Simply put, if you take massive actions, you will see results not only faster but almost instantly.

"What are the ways on how to advertise my blog?"

There are many ways you can expose your blog to people who have not come across it yet. Some channels are free while some are paid. Most of the time, the majority of the bloggers will seek for free promotion channels. I mean who doesn’t want free traffic, right?

However, very often the free ways to get visitors to your blog needs a lot of efforts and time to make the whole campaign a success. By spending your precious time and labor on getting free traffic, did you realize those are actually not free? In other words, you are just paying yourself instead of paying others to get the job done for you.

So one way to get more eyeballs to your blog with lesser time and efforts is by spending on advertisements. Paid advertisements are more scalable and faster to see results too. Besides you will be receiving targeted traffic for your business, eliminating non-targeted ones from what you get from free traffic.

This way you can focus on other areas of your businesses and let the advertisement companies take care of your campaigns. Another benefit of paid advertisement is that it’s predictable. You know what works and what doesn’t, therefore it helps you to achieve a good revenue to expense ratio. For example, for every $1 you spend for targeted traffic, you get back $1.30, which means a 30% profit margin. With a revenue forecast, it will be easier for you to plan and expand your business by putting the resources straight from the horse’s mouth.

So now let us dive straight into today’s topic on how to advertise blog effectively.

How to Advertise a Blog Using Paid Search Marketing?

Some of the most common paid search marketing solutions are Adwords, pay per click (PPC), cost per click (CPC) or sponsored advertising. While there are many strategies on how to use Google Adwords, we won’t go into that. Rather we will just focus on one effective strategy that can help you advertise your blog posts and gain more targeted exposure.

Step 1: Research on a topic that is widely talked about and has a great demand. When there is demand, there is competition as well. Take note of that.

Step 2: Write and publish a blog post of the topic that you have done research for. Make sure that this post is something of real value to your readers. In fact, your content should somewhat be longer, packed with information and focused for your audience.

Step 3: Choose exact match or partial match keywords based on the topic you published. You do not need to use broad search keywords because they are expensive and not as targeted. For example your post is about lessons on inline skating so you might want to select “inline skating lessons” as one of the keywords.

Go to Google Keyword Planner (GKP). Plug in all the keywords that you have selected and look for the keyword terms that are high searches but low competition. Most terms that meet the criteria may only have 1000, 500 or even lesser searches per month but that’s alright. You are targeting very close terms to what users are searching for. Alternatively, you can also key in the URL of your blog post and let GKP select keyword ideas for you.

Step 4: Use the keywords suggested in Step 3 to build a new campaign. Basically you would want to group closely-related terms together in the ad group so that the quality score will be higher and the costs will be lower.

Step 5: Create ad creatives that are short, simple and have a call-to-action. The headline must be clear and straight to the point while the description must state the benefits for your readers. After creating the ad, you need to ask yourself if the reader is you, would you be enticed to click on the ad? Here’s a simple example of how the ad should be.

Ad Headline: Learn Inline Skating

Ad Description: Safe, Fun & Effective Lessons for All Ages. Coach with 30 Years Experience.

Here the ad clearly tells the readers that you are offering inline skating lessons that are for all ages. Most importantly, the coach has 30 years of experience which can attract people’s attention.

Step 6: Disable the Content Network setting. The default settings for Adwords campaign will show your ads in Google Search and its content network (meaning your ads will be shown on other sites which have Adsense on it). As a start, it’s advisable that you learn and master the Search portion first before going into content network which is another topic on its own.

Step 7: Test and find the winners. Since you are starting out to learn how to advertise your blog with PPC, you will want to do a lot of testing to see which type of ads, what kind of headlines, description and content works the best for your niche.

When I say a lot of testing, it really means you have to put out many different combinations and versions of headlines and description to test the market and see which ones converts the best.

Along the way you might also come across other ads by your competitors. If those ads are related to your niche or are related to something you want to go into, you can take ideas from there and modify it for your own. Those ideas can also be a goldmine to help you create new and valuable contents which you may not have come across.

Step 8: Put up competitor’s brand bidding. If your competitors are well known for their brands, you can even try to use brand-related keywords to bring targeted traffic to your blog. For example if your competitor is K2 Skates, you may want to put up an ad like below.

Ad Headline: K2 Inline Skates

Ad Description: K2 Inline Skates Produces the Most Trusted Quality of Recreational Skates.

Usually smaller organizations will be less likely to use brand-related Adwords campaign because most of the time they are ranked the top for their branding. However it’s still possible they do that if they are having a promotion or doing some sort of marketing campaigns for their brand.

For huge organizations, many of them may do an Adwords campaign based on their own brands. Firstly, they have a larger budget to do advertisements. Secondly, they are always trying to create brand awareness and exposure. Third, bidding on their own brands are usually cheap as there is no competition. Last but not least, they can dominate the search results with paid and organic positions.

However, this doesn’t stop you from competing against them using branded keywords especially if the cost per click is low and within you budget.

Summary and Taking Action

It’s always easy to read and not take any actions. Besides, using paid search is definitely not for everyone as it means you would need to spend on advertising before you gain any revenue.

However if you are serious in taking your business to the next level, it’s inevitable that you set aside an affordable budget to test out the market and find the winners faster. As mentioned earlier in this article, not many will want to promote their blogs using paid options. You will be gaining an advantage over them if you do so, which might result in more leads and sales.

Hope that this guide can give you a better idea on how to advertise your blog and help you to gain an advantage over your competitors!

There are more than 8 million of blogs live online and every year it just keeps increasing. Up to date, according to the Technorati’s data and statistics, there are 12,000 new blogs created every single day! As Google placed high emphasis on quality content, many blog owners are upping their own game and are trying to please the big G.

They do so by producing great quality content that readers and audience love, so the blogs can rank well and gain good exposure in search engines and in turn gain new visitors from organic search. Well we will talk more about this later.

You think you will have tons of traffic when you have the best content?

This sounds logical but it’s far from the cruel truth.

If you have only just started on your new launched blog, posted 10 to 20 pieces great content, you will count yourself lucky if Google starts to recognize your blog and rank it high in the search engine.

But normally that’s very rare and you do not want to put yourself in this situation where you can only depend on luck.

"So how to promote my blog?", you might ask.

If you want your blog to be exposed to many people who doesn’t know its existence, then you really need to know how to market your blog smartly, effectively.

The Best Ways to Promote Your Blog and Website

With so many blogs out there, what do you use to compete and how do you compete with them?

There are many creative, useful and interesting ideas on how to promote a blog. In fact there are more than enough options you can implement in your blog promotion strategies. But which are the cream of the crop that will generate the most effective results within a shorter frame of time?

Here are some of the tactics and secrets that me and my peers have tested for years. I have been using them frequently and aggressively to promote my blog. Now I’m confident to bring it out to share with everyone so you can learn and apply them for yourself!

#1. Do Proper Keyword Research

So how to promote your website just by doing a good keyword research? Well of course there’s more to it. If you want exposure and visibility in the search engines, then you will need people to be able to find your website or blog right? To get the most out of organic traffic, you will need to find high searches but low competition keywords.

For example, you want to promote blog post about women’s red heels. Instead of targeting the keywords for “red heels” which have so much competition, you may want to target for “red high heel shoes” which has lesser competition and higher possibility of ranking it better in search engines.

#2. Connect and Build Good Relationship with Fellow Bloggers

It’s never a one-man show in the online industry and it never should be, especially when you are starting your new blog. It’s part and parcel of the process to know people, connect with them and build a good relationship with them. With good relationships, there’s also a higher chance of achieving your success.

Connecting and building relationship with bloggers or even the big players in your industry is one of the most important factors that could decide whether you succeed or fail in your online ventures. For example if you take efforts to read their content and share it frequently, you will get their attention and they will be pleased with that.

Do not overlook the relationships with bloggers in your industry because once you established them, over time they will be more likely to share your content with their audience and that will seriously pack a punch in promoting your blog.

#3. Sharing Content on Social Media

If you have a rather new blog and have not many followers, then sharing your blog post once on Facebook, Twitter or Google Plus may not yield a great result.

How to promote blog with social media? There are millions of tweets per day. So in order to reach a large number of your followers, you would want to tweet your blog post and share in Facebook multiple times a day. You can even use a scheduling tool to help you share or tweet your posts few times a day or a week, it’s totally up to you.

Remember to encourage your followers to retweet as well so you can get the maximum exposure. This is one of the ways how I promote my blog with great effects.

#4. Commenting on Relevant Blogs

Commenting on other blogs may seem like an outdated strategy to promote your website. In truth, blog commenting nowadays is just another ‘easy’ way for people to leave backlinks on with the main purpose of boosting their search engine rankings.

However leaving honest, useful and value-adding comments on popular blogs may instantly increase your reputation and branding when the readers take notice of you. With so many eye balls in a high-trafficked blog, this is a great channel to market and promote your blog. Besides that you are building a rapport with the blog owner.

#5. Pin Images in Pinterest

You may not realize it but Pinterest is rapidly building its brand and quickly establishing themselves as a powerhouse in the social media arena. We are seeing more and more traffic coming from Pinterest, so if your audience is in Pinterest as well, it’s time to start pinning images and lure them to your blog.

Start to create nice and attractive images related to your niche. Instead of uploading those pictures, share them on Pinterest ad encourage your readers to repin them.

#6. Take Part in Google Plus Communities

There are tons of communities in Google Plus but the first step is to find the major ones that are relevant to your niche.

For example if you are in the tech gadgets niche, you would want to search for active communities that are filled with people who are passionate about techies.

How to promote website with Google Plus communities??

Do a research in the communities to get an idea on what kind of solutions people are looking for. Then you create a piece of great content of that particular topic and share the post in there.

However do make sure you read the rules and regulations before you promote the blog post. Some communities prohibit self-promoting.

#7. Use Infographics in Blog Posts

A picture is worth a thousand words. With majority of the online content in words, why not use images to communicate a clearer picture to your audience?

Too many words can bore a reader. However with some graphics, it is easier for readers to focus on the important points and make it interesting for them to read.

How to promote your blog post with infographics?

Share the infographics with niche related blog owners. If they find it useful, they might just tweet to their readers or even write a blog post about it. When they do that, it’s a direct way of helping you to promote your blog and get your blog noticed by others.

#8. Use Video in Blog Posts

Not all the people have the same preferences. Some people like to read while some people are more visual. They love to see images and videos rather than read text.

The content of the blog post can be made into a video with the texts as transcript. Or you can summarize the important points of the blog post into a short video.

This method increases the chance of having more exposure to your blog when your audience shares the video to other channels and sites.

#9. Be Unique in Your Expertise

There are many bloggers around but if you have taken notice of the more popular blogs, those bloggers have their own Unique Selling Proposition (USP). They don’t try to copy or imitate others but rather aim to be an expert in his own field.

When you draw people’s attention with your uniqueness, they will recognize you as an expert in your field and become an audience of yours. With word of mouth, your brand and blog could be spreading like fire in social media.

#10. Update, Improve and Re-share Older Content (UIR Method)

Dig through your past blog content that has good value and sharing and see how you can use it to promote your website. Since it’s so valuable, why not update it with the latest contents, improve it and re-share with your readers?

With better and updated contents, this strategy will likely increase the sharing of the existing social shares. This updated blog post will also greatly benefit fans who are new to your blog.

I hope the tactics shared above have shed some light on getting traffic to your blog, the exact ways on where to promote your blog and how to promote your blog.

Nowadays having a blog is very common because it’s so easy to build one. Without any programming skills, you can start a blog with platforms such as the popular WordPress, Blogger, Tumblr and many more. While it’s easy to start up, building a successful one requires much of your time and efforts. Any successful site will need traffic to it, which then drives leads and conversions. So how to get traffic to your blog that are targeted and high-converting?

I believe anyone who owns a site would love to know how to increase website traffic. For new starters, I always get never-ending questions like “how to get traffic to my website?”, “how should I be driving traffic to my website?” etc.

There are tons of ways you can do that but you may not have the resources to do all of them. It is also not time-effective to do all of them. You need to focus on a few and do them well. Below I will list out and share all the effective traffic driving methods that I use to get blog traffic.

#1 - Optimize Your Blog for SEO

I know there are a lot of debate going on whether to write contents for humans or for search engines. I want to take this opportunity to voice out that you should always be writing readable content for humans, but at the same time do your part to optimize it in such a way that Google loves them.

Organic traffic are highly-targeted traffic as you only optimized the search terms that your content is targeting for. For example if your blog post is about female shoes, you may wish to optimize for high-heeled female shoes, red color female shoes etc.

Here are some resources you can refer to increase traffic to your blog.

Moz SEO Guide

Quicksprout Advanced SEO Guide

#2 – Enter the Social Media Arena

There’s no need for me to emphasize how important social media is. Look at Facebook, they have more than 1 billion users. Twitter has over 280 million users while Google Plus has more than 300 million per month. There are still tons of social channels which add up to driving billions of traffic.

How to Get More Blog Traffic From Social Media Platforms?

When you have great quality content you can hook up and leverage on connections that have huge followers and fan-base. With them sharing your content to their audience, there is unimaginable amount of traffic your blog would be gaining.

Start connecting with users and following those who are in similar industry as yours. A good tool to do that will be FollowerWonk. Share your own content, share the expert’s content. Every content with superior quality has a chance to go viral and get re-shared.

Be proactive by interacting with the community and audience. Earn your trust and make a positive impression for others by consistently participating and contributing. Over time, it’s almost a sure thing that your followers will grow and that will drive traffic back to your blog.

#3 – Guest Blogging

Guest posting is a great way to earn trust, authority and build your brand. When you guest post on other blogs, it not only just earn you links from your Author Bio but also helps to drive traffic back to your site.

How to increase blog traffic through guest posting?

· The first step is to look for blogs or sites that are related to your niche. After you have shortlisted a list of them, go through their blog posts to roughly get an idea of what kind of content the audience loves. A shortcut will be to look for the “Most Popular” tab or section if the blog has it. Those content are usually with the most comments and social shares.

If you are just starting out with a relatively new blog, it may be rather challenging for bloggers to accept your guest post. When you are new, this means your followers are little and that doesn’t entice bloggers to contribute a post to your site either.

Do not get discouraged because that’s how things work. Be persistent, continue to look for other opportunities while at the same time grow your content and followers. You will find that when your profile and experience grows, you will have more guest post requests accepted and that’s where you can have another shot at those who rejected you the first time round.

It is always helpful to include some links to the guest posts you have done on other blogs in the past in your guest pitch. Even a screenshot will do. This will help the bloggers to understand your writing ability and higher chance for them to accept your requests.

Use tools such as BuzzSumo to get more ideas of the contents that are largely loved and shared by audience. The tool can help you discover more opportunities in social channels like Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus and Linkedin.

#4 – Authoritative Blog Commenting

If you already have a blog, you should know that there are spam comments almost everyday right? Most of them just want a link back to their products or services.

However if you want to build yourself an authoritative brand, it’s not the links that matters. It’s how you contribute, value-add and get people to notice your blog.

How to get blog traffic by commenting on other blogs?

Just go to any popular blogs that are related to your industry and have a read at their blog posts. Normally with popular ones, you can find quite a number of comments after the article. Most of them will be something like ‘Good job John, that was really a great article!’. Needless to say, that was some lazy commenting and nobody will pay attention to it.

However if you could add on some value to the article by providing some additional tips, advice or mini-case study, that comment will stand out from the rest and will draw the audience’s attention to it. When they wish to find out more about who you are and what you do, you will be driving good traffic to your blog.

So again if you can leave an insightful and helpful comment, it will certainly siphon some of the blogger’s site traffic to yours. Who knows if the audience enjoy your content more than that blogger’s, they might just follow you instead from then on!

#5 – Participate and Be Active in Q&A Sites

This is an often overlooked and underrated method on how to increase traffic to your blog. Everyday there are estimated thousands of people who are hungry for information asking questions on Q&A sites like Quora, Yahoo Answers, Stack Exchange and many more.

So how to get more traffic to your blog by participating in those Q&A sites?

Those sites are actually great platforms where you can establish yourself as an expert. However you should not be answering any kind of questions asked on the sites. Rather you should selectively choose those questions that you think you can provide value to the community and in turn drive traffic back to your blog.

Here is a short guide on what you should look out for when answering questions on the Q&A sites.

Good visibility for the questions. You would want to answer questions that constantly have traffic to them. For example, you may find some questions which are related to your industry ranking very well in search engines for certain search queries/keywords. You would want to try answering them as the search engines will constantly send traffic to it when people are searching for answers.

Look for high stats of the questions on the Q&A sites. Questions that are popular should have high view stats, so you would want to answer the questions as they will provide high visibility too.

You may find some questions are frequently asked but the answers presented are not as complete or as comprehensive. You can take this chance to show your expertise by providing some value-added insights, this means that your answers could be relatively longer too.

Another strategy when answering questions is to look for those which you already have blog posts on. So when you attempt to answer the questions, try to provide good insights but at the same time don’t provide the complete answer. Instead provide a link to your blog post so that users can click and visit your blog for the complete information.

For all answers that you provide for the questions, try to leave your signature at the end of the answer with a link back to your blog. For example:

John Louis
The Expert in Social Media
www.YourBlog.com

Although the link may not be dofollow in most cases, people will be interested in what you have in your blog after reading your insights thus driving traffic to your site. Just always remember to provide relevant value and you will definitely get some loyal audience from these sites.

#6 – Create Powerful Lead Magnets

If you think that when visitors come to your site they will come back to visit again automatically, you may be wrong.

While it is true for some cases, this is not going to happen for all of them. Why? Because the internet is full of information that distracts people from somewhere to another.

How to get traffic to your blog with lead magnets??

To keep your audience coming back for more, you have to get them into your subscriber lists. It is important to capture leads so that you can email them whenever there’s an interesting blog post or when you need some feedback etc. To let your visitors give away their email address, you got to give them something that is so attractive that they are willing to do so. These are called lead magnets and below I will go through some of the most powerful ways you can create them.

Content upgrade at the end of your blog post. This is one of the most effective methods to capture leads. However this is also very resource consuming as you will need suitable and ‘upgradable’ content to attract your audience.

Discount/Promo codes. If you are selling digital or physical products on your blog, you can set up opt-in forms to collect emails. In exchange, you will offer your subscribers a discount coupon or time-limited promo code for the items they are interested in. This works really well as your subscribers think you are doing them a flavor and helping them to save money.

Cheat sheet and ultimate list. People respond very well to cheat sheets and ultimate lists so they can be effective lead magnets. They are somehow different to short guides and reports, in fact they are short and to the point. For example, the list can be something like ’10-Step Checklist to Step Up a Successful Blog’.

#7 – Buy Blog Traffic

This is a method that you will see marketers seldom do. One of the reasons is that you need money and resources to make the campaigns successful. However if resources are used correctly and effectively, it can help in driving traffic to your website consistently.

Use Facebook to Drive Quality Traffic

Recent years, many businesses are getting into this popular social platform to advertise their products and services. There are no signs of advertising activities slowing down for Facebook. In fact, it’s forecasted that more and more businesses will enter into this area in a bid to increase their traffic and revenue.

How to use Facebook to get traffic to your blog?

Besides advertising on the platform to gain eyeballs on your services and products, you can even use Facebook ads for getting Facebook likes, increasing opt-in leads, boosting your page content etc. But the better ROI to use the ads would be getting traffic back to your site because that’s your own property while Likes and Fanpage still belong to Facebook.

Here are some of the advantages why you want to use Facebook ads to get more blog traffic:

You can set your own targeting based on geographical locations, gender, timing, salary ranges, similar interests etc. This makes the ads very relevant and targeted, thus those that visit your blog after seeing your ads will be quality traffic.

Retargeting ads are possible with Facebook. The purpose of retargeting ads is to increase your brand awareness and target those people who came to your blog before. This is mostly done to turn them into potential customers.

Enable you to get more email subscribers. You can’t expect a visitor to become your customer straightaway the first time he lands on your site. The best way to increase ROI is to try getting him into your email list and start building relationship by offering them great value content first. When they trust you and believe that your products can help them, it will be easier to market to them.

I hope that you have digested the above ways to get more traffic to your blog. Those are some of the kick-ass methods to really drive tons of traffic to your site. Although there are still so many techniques out there, I always believe you should focus on only a few of them and do them well. Once you see results from them, you can outsource them and expand into other methods. Most importantly, plan and take massive action!
