What to do whilst you are Working from Home
When we are forced to Work from Home, the lines between work and home become blurred. Here are some things to do in those ‘in-between’ periods to break up the monotony.
Get into baking
Baking is one of those things that we really have the time to think about when we are busy. Supermarkets have made it easy for us to buy amazing baked goods without getting covered in flour. But as we are stuck in our home, we might want to give it a go, right? Especially as with baking there is a lot of the time spent waiting for your oven to finish its job. If you’ve never had the pleasure of crafting home-made bread, then you really don’t know what you have missed. It also fun to create competition between your group of friends, each of them stuck in their own home too! This is what social media tools like Instagram were made for!
Pick up those books you have been putting off for another day
If you’re like most people, you might often complain that there are books that you have always wanted to read, but have never really had the time, right? Well whilst you’re stuck at home, sometimes kicking your heels, isn’t this the ideal time to pick up those books and get going? If you don’t have books like that, then perhaps now is the time to start and find a new passion, or perhaps learn some new skills or knowledge. Amazon Kindle Unlimited makes it really easy for us to sample and try as many books as we want without any extra costs.
Write new content for your website and sort out your Search Engine Optimization
Small business owners can rarely find the time to concentrate on crafting new content for their website or optimizing their website for search. This is why they normally use a PPC Consultant such as Toni Marino, to take off the load. Toni advises that ‘now is the time to get these activities done because online consumer behaviour has been changed forever. Even the smallest of business needs to build a productive online presence.’. The sooner you start, the better, because it does require time to invest in, if you’re doing it yourself. The good news is there are a lot of resources on the web to guide you.
Get your garden into shape
The seasons are changing so right now is the best time to get your garden looking great. It’s best to create your blank canvas by cutting back, pruning, weeding and doing everybody’s non-favourite job, mowing the lawn. It’s like a fresh start. So now what are you going to do? Starting from clean sheet, you can now dream of what your garden could look like. Imagine fresh decking, a new patio for a BBQ, a garden office to work in, or some other type of garden rooms to share with your family. Hardware stores are still carrying everything you will need for these projects, so you really have no excuse!
