I suppose this is where I’m supposed to tell you my life story starting with my birth. But instead I’ll mix it around a bit and give you some of the key pointers about who I am!
About The Author:
My name is Adnan and I’m a young guy from the UK. I’m currently still at school (or high-school), but in the mean time I do like to surf the web a bit looking for ways to make money like a true entrepreneur.
A couple of years back, I made quite a bit of dosh as a result of buying and selling items of the latest craze at school. It was so lucrative and successful that I developed a liking and attachment to being a young mogul looking for new and opportunistic ways to earn some extra pocket money and to develop vital skills that would go on to help me today.
So since (along with schoolwork), I’ve attempted to import and export goods which didn’t turn out too successful, and in February of 2006, I looked towards the internet to see what opportunities I could find there to broaden my horizons as a teenage student…and let’s just say, I havn’t looked back ![]()
About The Blog:
Blogtrepreneur itself was born out of part boredom and part anticipation and excitement of what the internet could offer. In the year ‘06, I’d been stumbling around a few entrepreneurial forums when I saw a few members had blogs and websites - and seemed to be growing communities around them and forming online relationships with many.
The name of the site was my first hurdle. I needed something that demonstrated the type of site I owned and who I was, as a person:
Blog + Entrepreneur = Blogtrepreneur
It’s a fairly simple equation! Anyhow, due to various losses of income from the ole piggy bank, I decided that I wasn’t going to spend anything in order to try and make “something”. Thus, I managed to come across the notorious Blogger platform (owned by those Google fellows).
In February 2006, I wrote my first post. The niche of the blog was varied, ranging from electronics, to my personal life and then to my favourite sports - such as golf. It was only after reading many of the top blogging sites that I realised the importance of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and so narrowed down my sights to the world of entrepreneurship.
Over a few months, I managed to build internet recognition and a tight community of a small but helpful fellow entrepreneurs. This opened up many avenues including monetization and the later evolution of the Blogger blog, to my custom hosted blog on the wonder that is Wordpress, with my own domain name, Blogtrepreneur.com.
Try finding a forum in your niche and make informative and genuine posts. Over a while, you’ll start to form relationships with a few of these forumers and you never know where this might take you! In the business world, “It’s not about what you know, its about who you know!“
Since then, Blogtrepreneur has grown from strength to strength, with RSS Readership going from 10’s to 100’s. I’ve made more and more friends over my time online and this has allowed me to broaden and to develop as a “webpreneur”. In May 2007, I finally had the guts to pay for a site redesign courtesy of Connor Wilson, and with a unique blogging aspect, there’s no stopping me now!
So, I hope you now know a little about who I am. If you’ve liked what you’ve heard, why not Subscribe to my RSS Feed for constant site updates, or Contact Me if you have absolutely any queries or questions.
Here’s to your Blogtrepreneuring success!
