Case Resolved: Blogtrepreneur and FleetheCube Removed From TheMoneyBlogs
Finally, after many comments from really helpful site visitors and emailing to and fro things have fallen into place. Thanks to a tip from ‘FrankB’ who told me to use Whois information to contact TheMoneyBlogs I was able to get a response from JP who commented on the RSS Scraping post:
“Hi Guys-
This is JP from TradingMarkets. I guess both FleetheCube and Blogtrepreneur were sending emails to Brice, the old blog admin. He’s been gone for about 4 months, and those emails must have just slipped through. I just deleted both blogs.
Simply put, we’re not stealing content. We have an agreement, and we don’t put up anybody who doesn’t sign the agreement. I’m sorry about the mistake, in that you wanted to be off the blogs, and we were not there to help you. The blogs will be down within hours. Have a good day!
JP”
Well that solves my issue of not getting a reply from the many emails I was sending the service. As a result I told them that the email address on their contact page should be changed.
I also told JP that I didn’t sign the agreement seeing as how my account was setup for me – but I don’t want to persue this any further.
I’m glad that Cesar’s issue will also be solved and I hope its served as an example. Unfortunately, many of my readers will (quite rightly) have a negative view on TheMoneyBlogs and this goes to show how one unhappy customer can cause big mishaps in any company if they persevere. Another excellent example can be found here where the blogger had the potential to ruin the name of Text Link Ads (and they would have if it wasn’t for their great President Patrick Gavin).
A final shout out of thanks goes out to Mark, Cosmin and FrankB who all helped me to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
