Direct Advertising On Blogtrepreneur – 1st Month FREE!

So much time has passed here on the new and updated Blogtrepreneur without me explaining more about my new monetization methods. Since the kerfuffle with Google, I thought it best to really broaden my horizons so that the same feeling of being “stung” wouldn’t happen to me ever again. In the process I focused on a more in your face but lucrative form of making money online – Direct Advertising.

For those of you who don’t know, I would firstly recommend checking out Maki’s series on direct advertising which includes setting rates and marketing your ad packages.

On the site at the moment, my main money earners are TextLinkAds – which manage to make me consistent earnings due to the selling of text links. These links are above the fold mostly and will reap all the SEO benefits of this Pageranked 5 blog.

Now, due to the scrapping of Adsense and Adbrite in this new design, I wanted to fill up the spaces with something more aesthetically pleasing and with greater potential for the advertiser and for myself. Direct advertising was the obvious solution as it allowed me to set my own rates without any companies tucking into my profits, and I can totally customise the ads to suit you guys and the design of the blog.

The first thing that I should do, is to give you some statistical analysis of Blogtrepreneur, to show you what bang you can get for your bucks:

Statistics about Blogtrepreneur:
As of April 2007

  • Unique Visitors: 2,730 (figure is growing monthly)
  • Pageviews: 4,262 (1.56 per visitor)
  • Comment to Post Ratio = 5:1 (very high user participation)
  • No. of Articles/Pages: 240
  • Pagerank: 5
  • Alexa: 82,000
  • RSS Daily Readers: 280-320 (See sidebar for today’s figure)
  • Technorati Blog Rank: 9000

So, you can see that among various SEO and traffic benefits, your potential branding can be great due to our community of passionate young entrepreneurs and website owners. Please note that all advertisers will be screened before being placed on the site to make sure we have the highest quality of outbound links.
